I enjoyed and appreciated the article on fencing in the Jan. 18 MetroNews section. I am grateful to the staff writer and the photographer.
The Tidewater Fencing Club meets regularly at Virginia Wesleyan College every Wednesday evening from 7 to 10 p.m. It's a small and active club. New people would be welcome to come and try their hand at this international sport.
We also promote fencing every Monday night at Benn's Church in Smithfield from 7:30 p.m. onward.
