LINDA M. WOOD

Linda Marie Wood, of the 1800 block of Calash Way, died Jan. 29, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.

She was a Spanish teacher for the Virginia Beach School System. She was a native of Bell, Calif., and a member of Unity Church of Tidewater. She was a graduate of the University of California in Santa Barbara where she was also a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She was also a member of the TWA Clipped Wings.

She is survived by a son, Ryan Christopher Wood of Virginia Beach; parents, Ruth M. and Gilbert D. Roney, both of Valley Center, Calif.; brother, Dennis Lee Roney of Elk Grove, Calif.; maternal grandmother, Amanda Bower of Valley Center; cousin, Cathy Bazemore of Norfolk; and other cousins, aunts, and uncles; and a very special friend, Trisha; and a host of other friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Joyce Kramer in Unity Church of Tidewater, Shell Road, Virginia Beach.
