BLANCHE C. BINGHAM

Blanche C. Bingham, 81, of the 1500 block of City Park Ave., died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 1996, in Maryview Hospital in Portsmouth, after a brief illness.

A native of Franklin, N.C., she lived here for 53 years. She was the widow of Marcus A. Bingham and a member of Bethany Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Byne A. Bingham of the home and Kenneth L. Bingham of Franklin, N.C.; three sisters, Bertha Stockton of Franklin, Mary Dills of Eureka, Calif., Elsie Knight of Eustis, Fla.; two brothers, D.J. Carpenter of Franklin, R.L. Carpenter of Eustis; three grandchildren; and seven great-grand-children.

Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel by the Rev. Gene V. Primm. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be deacons of Bethany Baptist Church. Rest in peace.
