Mrs. Gertrude S. Gordon, 83, widow of Marcus F. Gordon, died Monday, Jan. 29, 1996.
Mrs. Gordon was a long-time member of Antioch Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Ann K. Davis and Betty G. Edwards, both of Franklin; one son, James L. Kelly Jr. of Petersburg; one sister, Kathryn S. Warren of Richmond; one brother, Taylor Smith of Jarratt; five granddaughters, Lynn K. Shearin of Sandston, Susan K. Grigg of Emporia, Judy K. Hoyle of Dinwiddie, Pamela K. Harris of Jarratt, Linda M. Kelly of Richmond; and six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Gordon was preceded in death by a daughter, Joan G. Kientz.
The family received friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday Jan. 31, 1996 at Owen Funeral Home, 303 S. Halifax Road, Jarratt, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today. Interment will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Antioch Baptist Church, c/o Amos Dunn, 17262 Courthouse Road, Yale, Va. 23897.
