VIRGINIA F. HOPKINS

Virginia F. Hopkins, 69, of the 1300 block of Prentis Ave., died Jan. 30, 1996.

She was a native of Sylva, N.C., and the widow of Vernon Hopkins. She was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church where she was usher (NU)2 and a member of the adult Sunday school class. She also belonged to Household of Ruth (NU)33 and the Domestic Art Social and Savings Club.

She is survived by her daughter, Gloria Jones; son, Walter Hopkins; sister, Vivian Blair; three brothers, Bert Howell, Joseph Howell and Douglas Howell; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. William S. Hampton in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. Burial is in Lincoln Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will be at the residence.
