ANNIE F. PARHAM

Annie F. Parham, 76, of the first block of Union Place, died Jan. 26, 1996, in New York.

She was born in Virginia Beach and was the widow of John A. Parham. She was a member of Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church, Norfolk.

She is survived by two daughters, Rose Garner of Tuckahoe and Patricia Frazier of Amsterdam, N.Y.; a son, John Grayson Parham of Norfolk; two brothers, Fred Cowell of San Francisco, Calif., and Boston M. Cowell of Portsmouth; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church with Dr. Richard Council presiding. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. A wake will be held todayfrom 7 to 8 p.m. in the Hale Funeral Home Chapel, where the family and friends will also assemble Friday at 10 a.m. for the procession to the church.
