EVA BROWN

Eva Brown, 71, of the first block of Riverview St., died Jan. 29, 1996, in Maryview Hospital.

She was a native of Portsmouth and the widow of John C. Brown.

She is survived by 11 daughters, Rachael Brown, Mamie Brown, Audrey Hearts, Linda Brown, Florence Brown, Mary Nicholas, Dorothy Brown, Eva Mae Brown, Judith Brown, June Brown, and Blanche Saunders, all of Portsmouth; two sons, James Cherry and Johnnie Brown, both of Portsmouth; 41 grandchildren; and 43 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends.

A funeral service will be at noon Friday by Pastor S. L. Carruth in Holy Light Church of Deliverance, Portsmouth. Burial is in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at noon today. The family will be at 1109 South St., Portsmouth and will assemble there for the funeral.
