TAKING CARE OF YOUR TIRES IS WISE

[This story is not available electronically. For complete text, please see microfilm.] ILLUSTRATION: Color photos by GARY C. KNAPP for The Virginian-Pilot

Ida Parker of Norfolk believes in taking care of her tires on her

1978 Plymouth Volare. She visits Tire Centers once a month to have

Joe Bostwick check the tire pressure.

An underinflated tire will retain its tread in the center, but both

edges will wear prematurely.

Tires can pick up all sorts of items, such as keys and

screwdrivers.
