George Lee Lynch Jr., 41, of the 4000 block of Hailey Court, died Jan. 30, 1996.
He was a deputy sheriff for the City of Norfolk for 12 years. He was a native of Portsmouth and he fellowshipped at Holy Trinity Church (NU)1. He was an Air Force veteran.
Mr. Lynch is survived by his wife, Betty Lynch; daughter, Jewel Lynch; mother, Rachel Lynch; three sons, George L. Lynch III, Spencer Lynch, Kevon Lynch; sister, Jo-Ann Lynch Bashay; brother, Steven Lynch; two nieces, Ashaunta Bashay and Ashlee Lynch; and god-mother, Audrey Coltrane. He was predeceased by his father, George L. Lynch Sr.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today by Bishop S. Samuel Bess in Holy Trinity Church (NU)1, Main Street and Thorne Avenue, Portsmouth. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. The body will be placed in church at 10 a.m. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
