HARRY A. PRILLAMAN

Harry Andrew Prillaman, 87, of the 100 block of Maupin Ave., died Feb. 1, 1996.

He was a native of Franklin County, Va., and was retired from the Ford Assembly Plant in Norfolk. He was also retired from St. Julian's Creek Naval Ammunition Depot. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Men's Bible Club of Portsmouth, Old Timer's Club of St. Julian's Creek, and the Retired United Auto Workers Association.

He is survived by his wife, Vergie E. Prillaman; daughter, Scarlett Weaver of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; son, Ernie E. Prillaman of Yorktown, Va.; sister, Inez Rogers of Reedsville, N.C.; three brothers, Norwood Prillaman of Fort Worth, Texas, Curtis Prillaman of Rocky Mount, N.C., and Russell Prillaman of Martinsville, Va.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Asbury United Methodist Church by the Rev. Milford Rollins and the Rev. T.M. Frye. Burial is in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Asbury United Methodist Church.
