Annie Hillman Alvin, of the 100 block of Hatton St., died Jan. 31, 1996, in a local nursing home.
She was a native of Elizabeth City, N.C.
She is survived by six daughters, Peggy Wilson, Carol Tabron, Gloria Humphries, Evangeline Dozier, Loria Banks, and Candy Alvin; three sons, Bonnie Alvin III of Alexandria, Va., Walter Alvin of Springfield, Mass., and Bobby Alvin of Portsmouth; two sisters, Imazie Myrick and Lillian Walker; 21 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Diane Alvin and Monita Alvin; and three sons-in-law, Wilbert Dozier, John Humphries, and Michael Banks.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday by Dr. G. Wesley Hardy in Cathedral of Faith Church of God in Christ. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may join the family at 5386 Poplar Hall Drive. Graves Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
