Calvin E. ``Woodie'' Woods, 65, of the 3500 block of Barry St., died Feb. 2, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Woods, a native of Louisville, Ky., was retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service. He was also retired from the Carpenters Union Local (NU)613. He was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association Branch (NU)99, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of Korea and Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley A. Woods; a daughter, Sandra L. Woods; two sons, Richard A. Woods and Paul E. Woods; a sister, Anna Gilbert; two brothers, Fred L. Woods and Alfred Henson; and five grandchildren, Mandy, Tiffany, Matthew, Daniel, and Steven.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. Clark Mandigo. Burial with military honors will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
