Jane Turner Laird, 72, of Cobbs Creek, died Thursday Feb. 1, 1996, at her residence following an extended illness. She was predeceased by her parents, Edward Carter and Mary Foster Turner.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Shaw Laird; two daughters, Mary Laird Lindell of Eastpointe, Mich., Ruth Laird Krynski of Alexandria, Va.; a son, Charles Shaw Laird Jr. of Virginia Beach; a brother, Edward C. Turner Jr. of Christiansburg, Va.; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Monday in the Christ Episcopal Church, Mathews. Memorials may be made to the Kingston Parish Memorial Fund, Box 471, Mathews, Va. 23109. Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, is in charge of the arrangements.
