ROBERT M. BANKS

Robert Maurice Banks, 35, of the first block of Independence St., died Jan. 30, 1996, at (NU)1 High St., Portsmouth.

Mr. Banks, a native of Norfolk, attended Faith Deliverance Christian Center, Norfolk. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Survivors include his mother, Jean E. Banks of Portsmouth; three sisters, Jean E. Banks of Silver Spring, Md., Janice A. Banks of Memphis, Tenn., and Jacqueline L. Banks of Portsmouth; a brother, William K. Banks of Portsmouth; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Monday in Corprew Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Nathaniel Jones. Burial will be in Hampton National Cemetery. Viewing at the funeral home will begin at noon Sunday. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 11:30 a.m. Monday for the funeral. The family will be at the home of his mother, (NU)3 Independence St., Portsmouth.
