Walter M. ``Poppy'' Smith, of the 3700 block of Dare Circle, died Feb. 1, 1996.
Mr. Smith, a native of Virginia's Eastern Shore, was retired from I.L.A. (NU)1248. He was the widower of Dorothy H. Smith.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Delories Hoskins of Norfolk; a son, Nathaniel W. Smith of Norfolk; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Community Funeral Home, Norfolk, by Elder Randy Willie. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park at 10 a.m. Monday.
