Robert ``Bob'' H. Etheredge Jr., 63, of the 1300 block of Graham Road, died Jan. 18, 1996, in his residence.
He was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service and a native of Norfolk. He was a Protestant. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a life long resident of the Tidewater area. He attended Maury High School in Norfolk.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy ``Dot'' Etheredge of the home; daughter, Stephanie Carter of Virginia Beach; sister, Shirley Burton of California; granddaughter, Ryan Cortney Katzenberger of Virginia Beach. He was predeceased by his son, Patrick S. Etheredge in October.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday by the Rev. Paul Bailey in Virginia Beach United Methodist Church, 18th St., chapel entrance. Burial will be private and at a later date. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of his daughter, Stephanie Carter, 1105 Antietam Court, Virginia Beach. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
