Jean Smith Ward, 65, died Feb. 3, 1996, in Northampton-Accomack Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox.
Mrs. Ward was a native of Willis Wharf. She had retired from the Dietary Department of Lake Taylor Hospital in Norfolk. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Exmore.
Survivors include her husband, William L. Ward; a niece, Phyllis J. Hinman of Willis Wharf; a great-niece; and three great-nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Maranatha Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Charnock and Mr. Kemmie Dize officiating. Burial will be in Belle Haven Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence of her niece, Phyllis J. Hinman, Willis Wharf. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Maranatha Baptist Church, Exmore, Va. 23350. Doughty Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
