Alexander G. Kettrell
NORFOLK - Alexander G. Kettrell, of the 900 block of St. Julian Ave., died Jan. 31, 1996, in Sentara Norfolk General.
Mr. Kettrell, a truck driver, worked for Saunder Provisions. He was the widower of Esette Kettrell and a native of Princess Anne County. He was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church for over 50 years.
Survivors include a son, James Kettrell of Norfolk; five sisters, Marjorie S. Williams, Mary A. Harris, Minnie O. Wingate, all of Norfolk, and Earlene E. Jackson and Sarah M. Glover, both of Brooklyn, N.Y.; seven grandsons; and two granddaughters.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at New Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. G.G. Campbell. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing at 3 p.m. today. The remains will be taken to the church at 9 a.m. Monday. The family will assemble at 553 Nicholson St. at 10 a.m. for the procession. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
