Edward Ivanhoe ``Ivie'' Piedmont, 82, died Feb. 2, 1996, in a Chesapeake hospital.
Mr. Piedmont, a native of Portsmouth, was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Catholic Church and sang in its choir for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Philomena Didio Piedmont; three daughters, Carolyn Lawrence and her husband, Sidney Lawrence, of Williamsburg, Mary Ellen Brandt and her husband, Al Brandt, of Vienna, Va., and Jean Piedmont of Chesapeake; a son, Ned Piedmont and his wife, Joyce Piedmont, of Houston, Texas.; four grandchildren, Ellen P. Bianco of Skippack, Pa., D. Aaron Motes of Norfolk, Eric H. Lawrence of Williamsburg and Ned Brandt of Canyon, Texas.; a sister, Sister Edith Piedmont of Emmitsburg, Md.; and a brother, Gordon Piedmont of Portsmouth.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Church of the Resurrection by the Rev. James Carr and Rev. Christian Haydinger. Burial will be in Portsmouth Catholic Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth.
