Pilar Degracia Flores, 53, died Feb. 3, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Flores was born in Iloilo City, Philippines. She was a member of the Catholic Church of St. Mark and was a minister of the Eucharist. She was a member of Philippine Nurses Association of Tidewater; Filipino Women's Club of Tidewater; Mrs. Philippine's Society; United Ilocano Association of Tidewater; and the Council of United Filipino Organizations of Tidewater.
Survivors include her husband, Gil Rivera Flores Sr.; two daughters, Pamela Jeanne Degracia Flores of Beltville, Md., and Debbie Ann Degracia Flores of Virginia Beach; a son, Gil Rivera Flores Jr. of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Elena D. Rivera of Vancouver B.C. Canada, Genoveva Degracia of Butuan City, Philippines, and Mater Alcubilla of Leesburg, Fla.; six brothers, Antonio Degracia of Iloilo City, Philippines, Leonardo Degracia of Bukidnon, Philippines, Onofre Degracia of Cotabato, Philippines, Alejo Degracia of Iloilo, Philippines, Mateo Degracia of Indonesia and Nonilo Degracia of Iloilo, Philippines.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Catholic Church of St. Mark with Father Daniel N. Klem officiating. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park on Tuesday following prayers in the church at 10 a.m. The family will be at the church from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Operation Smile. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, is handling arrangements.
