29 COMPANIES JOIN SEVANET

Christopher Newport University's new electronic economic development system has attracted the interest of 29 businesses in Hampton Roads, CNU said.

The system, called the Southeast Virginia Freenet, or SEVAnet, allows computer users on the Internet to discuss technology and business development.

Bill Winter, CNU professor of government and public affairs, said home pages and e-mail connections are being developed for SEVAnet. Participating companies include:

Bayfield Construction Co., Bayside Publications, C&W and Assoc. Inc., Cofmico USA Inc., Creative Edge, Dentalink, Greenwood Partnership, Hanbury Evans Newill Vlattas & Co., Hospital Financial Management;
