Dorothy W. Lowery, 91, died Feb. 3, 1996.
Mrs. Lowery was a native of Halifax County, Va., where she lived most of her life. She was the daughter of Phillip T. and Laura Wilkins Wilborn and the widow of Robert S. Lowery.
Survivors include two children, Richard W. Lowery of Virginia Beach and Kill Devil Hills, N.C. and Verlet L. Shelton of Marianna; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and seven sisters. One son, Robert C. Lowery predeceased her.
A funeral will be conducted Thursday, Feb. 8, in South Boston, Va. Brooks Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
