Sherwood Hall, 34, of the 900 block of Chumley Road, died Feb. 2, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Hall, a storekeeper, worked for the Portsmouth School Board. He was employed at Sears Department Store and House of Video. He was a native of Portsmouth and a member of Celestial Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Educational Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Crystal M. Hall; his parents, Mahilda Hall and Odell Hall Sr.; two sisters, Vickie Davis and Fayetta Sinclair; three brothers, Melvin Cheeks, Odell Hall Jr. and Michael Jones; grandmother, Jessie Cheeks; devoted friend, Janice Lee; and two special children, Muriel Lee and Anthony Lee.
The funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Celestial Baptist Church by the Rev. Leon J. Boone. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. The family will be at Fisher Funeral Home from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday. The family will assemble at 946 Potomac Ave., the residence of his mother, on Thursday for the funeral procession.
