HELEN H. BISHOP

Helen Holland Bishop, 56, of 606 Chestnut St., died Feb. 5, 1996, in Johnston Willis Hospital, Richmond.

Mrs. Bishop was born in Isle of Wight County and was the daughter of the late George Edward and Dorothy Johnson Holland. She was a 1959 graduate of Holland High School and was a retired secretary of Heilig-Meyers Furniture Co. She was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church and the College of Regents of the Women of the Moose.

She is survived by three daughters, Sharon B. Lee and husband, David, of Franklin, Gywn Drake and husband, Glen, of Boykins, and Wanda Bishop of Franklin; a son, Christopher W. Bishop of Franklin; two brothers, Robert L. Holland of Feeding Hill, Mass., and Elvers Holland of Holland Station, Suffolk; a sister-in-law, Bernice G. Holland of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren, Matt Spence, Scott Lee, Elizabeth Lee, Jeremy Drake, Andrew Drake, Frances Bishop and Rebecca Bishop. She was predeceased by two brothers, George Edward Holland and Luther Carroll Holland.

The graveside funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery by the Rev. Kenneth Williams. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Sharon and David Lee, 21109 Drake Road, Franklin. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association of Virginia, 5349 E. Princess Anne Road, Norfolk, Va. 23502.
