Cecil O. Morris, 74, died Monday, Feb. 5, 1996, in Chesapeake General Hospital.
Mr. Morris was a member of the Great Bridge Baptist Church in Chesapeake. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Army, and was a member of the Marion VFW Post (NU)4667 and was a 32nd Degree Mason.
He is survived by one daughter, Neva M. Campbell and husband, Bob, of Atkins, Va.; one son, William Thomas Morris and wife, Margot of Chesapeake; one sister, Alice Dorland of Virginia Beach; three grandchildren, Alvin Potter and wife Connie, DeAnna Thompson and husband, Roger, and Cecil Thomas Morris and wife, Sandi; two great-grandchildren; CeCelia Williams and Dylan Thomas Morris; and a special friend, Erika Hacker of Chesapeake.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Rev. Mike Sage officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens in Rural Retreat, Va., where Masonic graveside rites will be held by Marion Masonic Lodge (NU)31 AF-AM. The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
