MILDRED A. WILLIAMS

Mildred A. Williams, of the 800 block of Rugby St., died Feb. 4, 1996.

She was a retired kindergarten teacher after 25 years of service. She was a native of Norfolk and the widow of George C. Williams Sr. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Norfolk.

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn W. Shield of Camp Springs, Md. 20748; son, George C. Williams Jr. of Chesapeake; brother, Willie James Mooring; grandchildren, Belinda Smith, Brenda, Cindy, Thomas Jr., and Clinton M. Whitaker, Kimberly, Kelly and Jasmine Williams. She was predeceased by her parents, Roxanna and Bunch Mooring.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by Brother Wilbert Hawkins in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 645 Mayflower Road, Norfolk. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 869 Rugby St., at 10 a.m. for the funeral procession Thursday. Hale Funeral Home in charge.
