Jerry Wayne Brunson, 43, of Langwood Mobile Home Park, died Feb. 4, 1996, in his residence.
Mr. Brunson, a beverage service supervisor, worked for Aliant Food Service. He was a native of Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a former Hampton and Newport News police officer and also a North Carolina Correction Facilities officer.
Survivors include a daughter, Christina Marie Brunson of Virginia Beach; a son, Aaron Wayne Brunson of Virginia Beach; his mother, Helen Marie Brunson of Baton Rouge, La.; and his former wife, Gwen Claybone of Virginia Beach.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
