Margaret Delk Vaughan, 99, of 200 W. Constance Road, died Feb. 7, 1996.
A native of Smithfield, she was the daughter of the late Sterling Edgar and Virginia Womble Delk, a pioneering family of Smithfield. Mrs. Vaughan was the widow of John Norfleet Vaughan. She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, The Jamestown Society and attended Hollins College.
Survivors include her daughter, Virginia V. Mairs of Hilton Head, S.C.; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be conducted Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Paul's Episcopal Church by the Rev. H. Vance Mann III. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 213 N. Main St., Suffolk, Va. 23434. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
