Saudi Arabia rather than the most recent medal given by the
government of Kuwait. The new Kuwaiti medal is shown above.
The Navy will commission the attack submarine Greeneville Feb. 16
at Norfolk Naval Station. The submarine's name was misspelled in a
Military News brief Wednesday. It is named for the city of
Greeneville, Tenn.
A Sunday Business story stated incorrectly that the U.S. Navy
contributed $2 million toward the city of Newport News' $6 million
Downtown Partnership Initiative. Newport News, the state of Virginia
and Newport News Shipbuilding all contributed $2 million each toward
the redevelopment program. The Navy did not contribute any money.
An Associated Press story Monday erroneously reported that
Brookville Middle School in Lynchburg performed better than any of
the nearly 2,000 teams in a scholastic stock-picking competition.
Brookville Middle School performed better than any Virginia team,
but finished second overall to Central Elementary School in Maple,
N.C.
Actor Heath Cheek will perform in the benefit ``A New Theater and
All That Jazz,'' tonight at 6 at the White House Cafe in Norfolk.
His name was left out of a Daily Break story Wednesday.
