Virginia Power should be commended for the organization and execution of the power-restoration work during the freezing temperatures of Feb. 2-4. A swift mobilization of crew from West Virginia and Maryland under the leadership of Willie Holt, director of personnel and administration, resulted in power restoration earlier than the initial estimates to many homes and businesses.
The people attending to the power-outage complaints also did a great job of giving information, date and time of likely power resumption and explanation of why it would take that long. I am impressed and wish to extend my gratitude to everyone involved for a job well-done.
