Paul V. Haywood, 66, of Bavon, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 1996.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Mathews County and a retired commercial waterman. He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita B. Haywood; daughter, Linda Carol Hunley of Mathews; sons, Vernon Grady Haywood of Mathews and William Nelson Haywood of Mathews; sisters, Martha Slaughter of Portsmouth, Lois Buchanan of Gwynn and Ellen Jones of Tampa, Fla.; brothers, Richard Haywood of Bavon, Franklin Haywood of Bavon and Thomas Haywood of Deltaville, Va.; and a granddaughter and two stepsons.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home Chapel, Mathews. Burial will follow in the Pear Tree Cemetery, Onemo. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Mathews Volunteer Rescue Squad, Mathews, Va. 23109.
