Mrs. Quita Mellott Stephenson, 87, formerly of Edenton, N.C., died Thursday, in Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.
She was the daughter of the late William and Betty Alice Hendgardner Mellott and a retired typist for the U.S. Army Finance Department.
Surviving Mrs. Stephenson is her husband, Edward Henry Stephenson; daughter, Joyce S. Johnson of California; two sons, Edward H. Stephenson Jr. of Washington, D.C., and John Bond Stephenson of Arlington, Va.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday in the Evans Funeral Home Chapel, Edenton. Burial will follow in the Beaver Hill Cemetery.
