Dorothy Weaver Gardner, 79, of the 4200 block of Clifford St., died Feb. 8, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Gardner, the widow of George E. Gardner Jr., was a native of Portsmouth. She was a member of Portsmouth First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Tidal Wave Chapter (NU)9, and the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a son, George E. Gardner III of Portsmouth.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Olive Branch Cemetery, by the Rev. Nelson F. Fields. The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be sent to Portsmouth First Pentecostal Holiness Church, for the benefit of George E. Gardner III.
