Lena Dell Little, 100, of 7480 Mill Swamp Road, died Thursday, Feb. 9, 1996, at her residence.
She was a native of Isle of Wight County, and a housewife. Mrs. Little was the oldest member of Mill Swamp Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson and Mattie Gwaltney Little. Mrs. Little was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Floyd Little, and a son, Jack Little.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty L. Duncan of Smithfield; a daughter-in-law, Norma Jeanne Little of Smithfield; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held today at 1 p.m. in Mill Swamp Baptist Church with the Rev. James Rodgers officiating. Burial will follow in Mill Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the burial service, and suggest memorial contributions may be made to the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 97, Smithfield, Va. 23430 or Mill Swamp Baptist Church Memorial Fund, 6329 Mill Swamp Road, Ivor, Va. 23866. Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, is handling arrangements.
