SABATINI J. BARBATO

Sabatini Joseph Barbato, 73, of the 300 block of Chowan Trail, died Feb. 8, 1996.

He was a retired Chief Petty Officer for the U.S. Navy and he was also retired from N.N.S.Y. He was a native of Youngstown, Ohio, and was the widower of Lorraine M. Barbato. He was a member of Bandon Chapel, Edenton, N.C. He was a member of American Legion Post (NU)40, Moose Lodge, Edenton. He was also a Navy veteran of World War II and Korea.

He is survived by a daughter, Julia B. and her husband, Roy Hood, of Edenton; son, Chris J. and his wife, Missi Barbato of Chesapeake; sister, Josephine Beconder of Youngstown; three brothers, Frank Barbato, Steve Barbato, and John Barbato, all of Youngstown; and a granddaughter, Misty Sharlene Barbato of Chesapeake.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday by the Rev. E.L. Earnhardt in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. Military honors will be accorded at the grave.
