Leeanna Lillefloren and Melanie Ludwig keyed two second-half runs as the Virginia Wesleyan ended a six-game skid with a 63-54 victory in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference women's game at Lynchburg Friday.
Down two at the break, Lillefloren, Ludwig and Andrea Beisch led a 10-2 spurt to open the second half. The Hornets took a 43-40 lead, but the Lillefloren and Ludwig combined on a 9-0 run to give the Marlins (9-10, 8-7) a 53-46 advantage with nine minutes to go.
Beisch finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds and Lillefloren added 16 points and 15 rebounds.
