EVELYN W. BUTLER

Evelyn Winslow Butler, 68, of the 100 block of E. Wexford Drive, died Feb. 8, 1996, in her home.

Mrs. Butler, the widow of John Oliver Butler, was a native of Gates, N.C. She was a homemaker and a member of Wilroy Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Fellowship Class. She was an active volunteer of the American Red Cross. She was predeceased by two sons, John and Allen Butler. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Edward Winslow and Eula Savage Winslow.

Survivors include two sisters, Jeanette Jordan of Corapeake, N.C., and Catherine Oliver of Wawahitchka, Fla.; a brother, Jesse Winslow of Winchester, Va.; two grandchildren, Christopher A. Butler and Kenneth A. Butler; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. Carter Dey. Friends may join the family in the Hill Funeral Home Sunday from 4 to 5 p.m. and other times at the home of her sister-in-law, Bernice Welch, 110 Castle Court, in Kings Point, Suffolk.
