Robert Shesler, 67, of the 100 block of Donation Drive, died Feb. 9, 1996, in Sentara Bayside Hospital.
Mr. Shesler, a retired band master, worked for the U.S. Navy for 26 years. He was a native of Mexico, Ky. Mr. Shesler was a member of The D.A.V. chapter (NU)20. He served in World War II and the Korean Conflict, and retired his service as a senior chief in the Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Jennings Shesler; three daughters, Dani Lee Romeo of Nags Head, N.C., Pamela Shesler and Karen Shesler, both of Virginia Beach; a son, Robert M. Shesler Jr. of Virginia Beach; two stepsons, Tom Stewart and Ken Stewart, both of Virginia Beach; and five lovely grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. today in Rosewood Kellum Funeral Chapel, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Warren Wilson. His remains are to be scattered at sea at a later date.
