Jesse Cornelius Steed, 38, of the 9500 block of 21st Bay St. died at Lake Taylor Hospital, Feb. 8, 1996.
Mr. Steed, a truck driver, was a native of Norfolk.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Steed; a son, Derrick Steed; his mother Clara Steed; five sisters, Velma Salaam, Zelma Spencer, Patricia Bullard, Ernestine Steed, and Vera Steed; two brothers, Jake Steed and Fentress Steed, both of Norfolk.
Rev. Anthony Taylor will preside over the funeral Tuesday at 11 am. at Union United Church of Christ, Goff Street, Norfolk. A viewing will be held Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Riddick Funeral Service. The family will receive friends at 2316 Cary Ave., Norfolk. The burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
