ELIZABETH WHITHAM

Elizabeth Whitham, 70, of the 6300 block of Edward St., died Feb. 9, 1996, in her residence.

Mrs. Whitham, the widow of Donald L. Whitham, had worked in local beauty salons since 1952. She was a native of Beard Fork, W. Va. and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, Ladies Auxiliary, B.L. Hines Chapter 21.

Survivors include a son, Lionel Lee Chapman of Arlington, Va.; a brother, Malcolm Chapman of Page, W. Va.; two grandchildren, Robert Aaron Chapman of Lusby, Md., and Donald Lee Chapman of the USS Dwight Eisenhower; and first cousins, Everett and Lela Hannah of Page.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. Friends may pay their respects between 2 and 6 p.m. today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Navy Relief.
