Milton Henry Saxton, of the 2700 block of Ballentine Blvd., departed this life on Thursday Feb. 8, 1996, in Norfolk.
He was a native of Norfolk and a member and stewart of St. Thomas AME Zion Church. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Tina Saxton; his children, Juanita Robinson of Pennsylvania, Milton Saxton Jr. of New Jersey, Lessie Baskerville of Maryland, Jerrold Saxton of Ohio; and a stepson, Michael Baker of Virginia; a sister, Ruth Carter of New York; two brothers, George Saxton of Texas, Bradford Saxton of New York; an aunt, Pinky Spencer of New York; two daughters-in-laws, Yvonne Saxton and Valarie Baker; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and relatives and an adopted mother, Ms. Lillian Foster; and an adopted brother, James F. Sharpe of Norfolk.
Milton was a very loving and caring person one who would freely give of himself and was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was very faithful and dedicated in serving his church, St. Thomas. If Milton has passed your path, you will always remember him and never forget the impression he left behind. Milton has gone on home but he will always be remembered. We will truly miss you.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at St. Thomas AME Zion Church. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Pretlow and Sons Funeral Home, Chesapeake, is in charge.
