The Mediation Center of Hampton Roads has opened an office for private clients at 300 W. Freemason St. in Norfolk. The mediation firm will still operate in the courts of Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Portsmouth.

The Associated Press provided the following information to stop junk mail and phone calls. Write Direct Marketing Association, which represents about 3,600 companies.

If unwanted mailings continue after a few months, the association suggests complaining directly to companies.

Consumers must register by mail for both the mail and telephone services.

BUSINESS EXPANSIONS

Green Thumb Consultants has acquired a business license to operate a mail order business for the sale of Cool Clothes, a new product line including bandanas, visors, caps, head bands and vests.

Gromelski & Associates Inc. of Virginia Beach has formed RGI Group Inc. to buy and operate certain assets of Memorex Telex's Novell Authorized Education Centers in Albany, Ga., and Raleigh, N.C.
