Edith O. Smith of Jasmine Cove Way, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 1996, in Davis Health Care Center.
Mrs. Smith was born in Portsmouth on Sept. 6, 1909, the daughter of the late Albert F. and Crissie C. Culpepper Ozment. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyman A. Smith Sr. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Portsmouth.
Surviving are her son, Lyman A. Smith Jr. and wife Margaret of Wilmington; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 13, in Olive Branch Cemetery, Portsmouth. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
