BLANCHE B. FLANAGAN

Blanche Banks Flanagan, 86, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 1996, at Northampton-Accomack Memorial Hospital, Nassawadox.

She was born in Exmore and was the daughter of the late George and Flora K. Banks. She was the widow of William E. Flanagan. Mrs. Flanagan was a member of Belle Haven United Methodist Church and was active in teaching Sunday School for more than 40 years. She was also very active in youth programs in the Northampton public schools.

Survivors include a son, William E. ``Jack'' Flanagan of Norfolk; a niece, Reatha Smith of Willis Wharf; and two grandchildren, Dawn and Brian Flanagan of Chesapeake.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Belle Haven United Methodist Church by the Rev. Fred G. Marvel. Burial will be in Belle Haven Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore. Memorials may be made to Belle Haven United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 37, Belle Haven, Va., 23306.
