Ella Sarah Wells, 37, of 103-A Jordan Drive, died Saturday, Feb. 10, 1996, at her residence.
Ella was a stock clerk for Food Lion and a sales representative for Brown and Williams Tobacco Co. She was a native of Southampton County and a Baptist. She was a member of the Smithfield Real Jaycees.
Survivors include her mother, Nora Mae Adkins and stepfather, Roger L. Adkins of Smithfield; brother, Jim Thomas Wells of Smithfield; six sisters, Linda W. Ashby of Colonial Heights, Va., Delma W. Alfano of Dinwiddie, Va., Ellen W. Siler, Brenda W. Wise and Betty W. Phelps, all of Smithfield, Angela L. Wells of Newport News; stepgrandparents, John A. and Alpha C. Adkins of Elberon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James E. Wells.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Smithfield Baptist Church with Dr. Don Rhoton officiating. Burial will follow in St. Luke's Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today in Colonial Funeral Home and suggest that memorial contributions may be made to Smithfield Baptist Church Building Fund, 100 Wainwright Drive, Smithfield, Va. 23430.
