Isn't it interesting that Virginia Beach city fathers are hellbent on trying to emulate Myrtle Beach as ``golf heaven'' while they overlook our most prized natural resource, the Chesapeake Bay.
A golf course can be built in almost any part of our country, but very few have one of our country's best fishing and boating areas in their back yard yet not one free ramp with easy access to the Bay. It is no wonder so many of us pull our boats to the Outer Banks where multiple ramps with spacious parking are available.
Virginia Beach should wake up. Even Norfolk with its limited acreage can find room for a few ramps.
