Rena Juanita Stiff departed this life at 6:20 p.m. on Feb. 9, 1996, from a local hospital.
She was born in Wilmington, N.C. and was the daughter of the late Herbert and Lillian Davis of Norfolk. She resided in Norfolk most of her life and was a retired nurse from the Lydia Roper Home where she worked for many years. She was an active member of St. Thomas AMEZ Church, Norfolk, where she served on the missionary board and as a member of the Willing Workers Club.
She is survived by a daughter, Dr. Delores Stiff of Orangeburg, S.C; two sons, Dr. Leroy Stiff of Hampton and Herbert Stiff of Norfolk; two daughters-in-law, Dr. Minnie Stiff of Hampton and Trudy Stiff of Norfolk; two sisters, Lucinda Jackson and Catherine Sprately of Norfolk; three grandsons, Bertnam, Brandon and Tyler Stiff; and one granddaughter, Leslie Stiff Jones.
The family will receive friends at 2464 Molden Avenue in Norfolk. A funeral service will be held at St. Thomas AMEZ Church on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. L. Scott officiating. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The remains will be placed in church at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Graves Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
