LENA P. AUGUSTINE

Lena Prevatt Augustine, 82, of the 5000 block of Cliff Circle, died Feb. 11, 1996, in Leigh Memorial Hospital as a result of diverticulitis.

She was a self-employed cosmetologist for 35 years. She was a native of Lumberton, N.C., and was a member of East Mister Presbyterian Church, Virginia Beach. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and was owner of Augustine's House of Hair Styling in McLean, Va., which brought her great joy because she had an unending love for people.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Augustine; two daughters, Elsie Mae Stinnett of Virginia Beach, Myra Lombardozzi of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Ruth Simpson of Lumberton, and Pearl Prevatt of Knott Island, N.C.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. Bob Hobson in Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home Chapel, Virginia Beach. A private burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park.
