Police said Monday they have charged a 26-year-old man with robbing, raping and abducting an Oceanfront hotel clerk Jan. 31.
Police spokesman Mike Carey said Officer Michael Koch developed information late Saturday that led to the arrest of Michael L. Collins of the 700 block of 16th St. The attack occurred at the Quality Inn Pavilion in the 700 block of 21st St., police said.
Collins has been charged with three counts of rape and sodomy, two counts of abduction and one count of robbery. He is being held in jail without bail.
