Cordelia McCoy Williams, 82, of the 3500 block of Holland Road, died peacefully at her home on Feb. 12, 1996.
She was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of Edward and Ruth Wilson McCoy. She was a retired dietician from the Norfolk Public Schools. She was the widow of James E. Williams Sr. and a member of Grace Episcopal Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Jacqueline W. Edmondson of Virginia Beach, Georgia W. Yancey of Chesapeake, Josephine W. Scofield of Long Island, N.Y.; a son, James E. Williams Jr. of Chesapeake; four sisters, Ruth B. McCoy of Norfolk, Hattie M. Ambrose and Frances M. Gofigan, both of Virginia Beach, and Angela M. Brice of Washington, D.C.; a brother, George McCoy of Norfolk; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Grace Episcopal Church, 1400 E. Brambleton Ave., by the Rev. Father Harold J. Cobb. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Riddick Funeral Service is in charge.
